HOW THE GUIDE IS ASSEMBLED

What this voter guide includes.

The guide pairs official ballot evidence with selected, attributed candidate statements and biographies. It is a source-linked starting point for comparison, not a complete account of every candidate, policy position, campaign, or public record.

Official ballot evidence

Candidate names, contests, retention questions, and ballot measures come from official election materials. Each citation opens the source record, locator, and captured excerpt used on the page.

Candidate information

Published statements and biographies are attributed to their campaign page, questionnaire response, or other named source. Selection for the guide does not turn a candidate’s statement into an independent finding or endorsement.

Limits and gaps

Source availability and detail vary by candidate. A missing statement or topic means this guide did not publish one; it does not show that the candidate lacks a view or policy. The guide does not promise a comprehensive review of commitments, follow-through, or funding.

Ballot question research

Explanations distinguish the official wording, practical effects, and named organizations’ arguments. Funding entries identify the source and date of each figure and say when original filings were unavailable. An endorsement does not establish a contribution; an industry benefit does not prove a concealed motive. Unverified donors and effects remain explicit research gaps.

Funding context

Where funding appears, figures reflect the named public filings, categories, and reporting period. They may not cover every form of support or spending, and a contribution alone does not establish influence.

Unknowns

Missing values are shown as Unknown or unavailable. They are not treated as zero, negative evidence, or a conclusion about a candidate.

Ballot scope and privacy

The guide does not publish private street addresses. When address lookup is enabled, an address is submitted only when the voter requests a lookup. Countywide material includes contests that may not apply to your address; use the elections office’s sample-ballot lookup to confirm your ballot.
